Old age is an age of vulnerability and is a reality that none of us can run away from especially if by God's divine grace we attain it. However, without exaggeration, it is unfortunate that older persons are accorded lowly and demeaning status, especially in Nigeria. This is mostly manifested  in the ways retirees are treated.

In most of our homes, there are many cases of older persons that have been abandoned due to pressures arising from immediate family challenges, superstition or sheer lack of economic power to provide comfortable conditions.

Oluwayemisi Obashoro Foundation (Olof) is a foundation with the vision that hopes to elevate the profile of of older persons in the Nigerian Society. This vision is borne out of the desire to assist older people manage the enormous challenges they face as a result of ageing.

It also hopes to enable older people have satisfying and relatively stress-free lives in old age.

These we shall do through a variety of activities and programmes that will proffer coping strategies and produce better informed care givers and community members to handle the attendant challenges of old age adequately.
